<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 0px; padding: 0px;">DeforLeaks is a crowdsourcing database managed by a team of volunteers who are concerned about the rapid and widespread destruction of forests and other natural habitats across the tropics.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 0px; padding: 0px;">DeforLeaks provides a platform for any concerned individual anywhere in the world to report on deforestation events and/or their impacts on wildlife and humans.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 0px; padding: 0px;">DeforLeaks shares your stories and contributions with the wider environmental and conservation community through its social media network.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 0px; padding: 0px;">DeforLeaks is created by ecologist, <a href="http://www.lianpinkoh.com" target="_blank">Lian Pin Koh</a>. He is supported by a group of advisors, including <a href="http://conservationbytes.com/corey-j-a-bradshaw/" target="_blank">Corey Bradshaw,</a> <a href="http://www.mongabay.com/about.htm" target="_blank">Rhett Butler</a>, <a href="http://www.nicholas.duke.edu/people/faculty/pimm/" target="_blank">Stuart Pimm</a>, <a href="http://www.stanford.edu/group/CCB/Staff/Ehrlich.html" target="_blank">Paul Ehrlich</a>, <a href="http://www.hks.harvard.edu/centers/cid/programs/sustsci/people/research-fellows/current-fellows/kamal-bawa" target="_blank">Kamal Bawa</a> and <a href="http://www.jcu.edu.au/mtb/staff/academic/JCUPRD_054476.html" target="_blank">William Laurance</a>. A “verified” report only indicates verification to the extent possible based on the capacity of the volunteer team at DeforLeaks. The team cannot be held accountable for any content inaccuracies, malicious intentions, or misrepresentations of any verified or non-verified report. The views and opinions expressed on DeforLeaks are solely the contributors', and do not represent those of any organization that DeforLeaks team members are affiliated with. DeforLeaks reserves the right to remove and/or edit any report or comment deemed to be inappropriate by the team.</p>
